We are well aware that a swift response and reliable information are of the essence. We offer our clients personal and immediate counsel in our office in Berlin, via phone or video call. We are available from 9am to 6pm (Mon-Fri).

Initial consultation

When assuming a mandate, we analyse the situation together with you. Even at this early stage, it is often possible to plan next steps and outline approaches to solve the problem. A cost projection is part of the initial consultation. We provide comprehensive information about all costs arising from the assignment.

In all criminal matter it is vital to contact us immediately.

Costs

As a specialized law firm we usually conclude a payment agreement with you, according to stages of the proceedings or an hourly rate in consideration of the specific characteristics of the mandate and the budget planning of the company or the individual client. Our payment agreement is of course open and transparent. We inform you, under no obligation on your part, about the expected cost prior to the assignment.

Legal expenses cover

In several cases costs are covered by a legal expense insurance. Many insurance companies offer special crime legal protection products, which cover the costs of our activities in full. It is part of our service to communicate with your insurer. We obtain a confirmation of cover for you.

D&O insurances

A D&O insurance protects senior members of staff against claims made by their employer (internal liability) and against claims made by third parties (external liability). It also covers the costs of the defence in commercial criminal cases. This initially also applies to cases where the person involved is charged with an intentional offence. A redemption commitment applies only in the event of a final conviction.

We advise you on cost coverage and correspond with your insurer.

Collision check

Particularly in criminal cases, the sustainable and exclusive representation of your interests is our focus. We have established an effective system to avoid conflicts of interest in our law firm. Prior to assuming a mandate we carry out collision checks to prevent possible conflicts of interest from the outset.

Secure communication

We attach great importance to secure communication. Please use our S/MIME and pgp certificates for the encryption of e-mails. We use our own encrypted cloud service. For the transfer of documents, we offer a secure and encrypted upload service upon request.

We train: we offer trainee lawyers who are interested in criminal law insights into the requirements and challenges of a criminal lawyer.

Press inquiries

The protection of the client is our first priority. Inquiries into ongoing proceedings can only be answered in exceptional cases and if this is viable in the context of the proceedings and explicitly requested by the client.
